Hello Bards Members...
As most of you know now....the Bards of Fortune will be
closing it's doors at the end of next week...
I want to thank all of those people that sent me kind words, dedication Poems
and Pages....You all have been a wonderful group of people and if
circumstances change....I will certainly be in touch with you all....
PLEASE go to the Index Page when you leave here, as I have recommended some sites that you could visit, if you still have the Competition Bugs....I know there are more than I have stated there....but those four....I can personally highly recommend...
Lei Lani and myself wanted to give you all something special
for being good friends and good competitors...
PLEASE go to this LINK and
a big THANK YOU from Lei Lani and myself
I would also like to thank LORRAINE from the BOTA team for all her assistance with the King and Queen votes. Your help is gratefully appreciated.
Lastly.....on a personal note.....I want to thank my second in command...LEI LANI.....without her, this group wouldn't have gotten off the ground, THANK YOU so much, my friend.
CONGRATULATIONS to Midnite Angel for her win in the King Bards...and CONGRATULATIONS to debswebcreations for winning the first half of the Audience with a QUEEN section.
A Word from your Team Leader
My fellow Bards: Maralyn had a dream; She put that dream to work by creating this wonderful place for us to display and compete in a competition for poetry and writers of all walks of life. For over a year, she has worked hard to make this a friendly, happy, competitive place for us to make new friendships and share our work with each other and others on the web. For this I say, "Thank You Maralyn". When she asked if I could help her out, I was honored to say the least. I've had the pleasure of working with Maralyn for almost two years now, and she is absolutely one of the sweetest persons I know. We have both put in many, many hours to make this competition one you and we could be proud of, and that accomplishment was indeed done. It is with sadness that we must close the Bards of Fortune. But, we must also realize and admit that neither Maralyn, nor myself, are in the greatest of health. We are both becoming seniors, even if we aren't going to let that stop us! Still, the fact remains, that due to the time required to make this competition truly work, we needed to be at full capacity. We all have paths that I believe are already mapped out for us and we must follow those paths. I have met and made many, many friends, and yes, you are my friends, although I have never met any of you personally. Nevertheless, you are friends because friends share a piece of their lives with each other; friends are there in sickness or in health; in good or bad; and each of you, fill that description. So, let me say this from my Native American culture, and please take this graphic for yourselves:
